Carousel Backyard Ultra - 11 April 2026

We’re heading to Central Otago for the Alexandra Airport Carousel Backyard Ultra, and this one has a bit of extra spice for us. The course loops around Alexandra Airport on a flat, fast mix of 4×4 track and singletrack; it's absolutely the kind of BYU that’s built to go long. We’ll be set up airport-side with kit, banter and support to help you refuel, reset and get back to the start line, and we love that a portion of entries supports I Am Hope and Bowel Cancer New Zealand!

Our kit has everything you need in one easy package: shelter, comfort, and all the practical basics. We provide a gazebo, a table, a chilly bin and a reclining chair so you can relax in between laps. We handle the setup, pack-down, and cleaning, so you can just enjoy the event.

If you're planning to go long, add an additional day (a separate product) for each additional 24 hour block you're planning to run. Go long on the day? No problem - we can invoice you the additional day after the event. Each additional 24 hour block is $100.

If you want to share tents with your friends, go for it! When making your booking, add additional chairs as required. Each set up only comes with one recliner, but depending on bookings we may be able to upgrade the additional chairs to recliners as well.
